Bad News for American Idol Alum David Archuleta (Video-Foto)

The hit television series American Idol is having what some consider a ‘down’ season and apparently so is Season 7′s runner-up, the fresh faced David Archuleta. Apparently the 20-year-old pop singer has been released from his contract with record label, Jive Records.
Archuleta may have lost to Season 7 winner, rocker David Cook, but the pint-sized cutie gained quite the fan base while appearing on the show. In fact, the singer was signed by Jive Records in 2008 and has remained a client until now… So, what happened?
Archuleta had the innocent and youthful hit pop anthem about being in love titled, “Crush”. However his most recent album, The Other Side of Down, has only sold a mere 67 -thousand copies… which translates to not-so-hot in the biz.
