Although they have filed for divorce, he would give it all up to get back together. Miley is the eldest of their two children and they have 2 others from his wife’s former marriage.
Billy Ray says that he made the same mistake many parents make, by trying to be a friend instead of a parent to Miley. With the direction she is heading, he is concerned that she will get herself into trouble where some one will get hurt.

Said Cyrus, “Yeah, I hate to say it but yes, I do wish it had never happened. I’d take it back in a second, for my family to be back , to be here, and just everybody to be O.K.. and sound and happy and normal would be fantastic. Heck yeah, I’d erase it all in a second if I could.”
Before Cyrus and family left Tennessee, the whole family was baptized, in order to protect themselves from evil. He believes satan is attacking his entire family – there is always a battle between good and evil and always will be.
