Pullen, Kansas State shred No. 1 Jayhawks

Jacob Pullen scored a career-high 38 points and Kansas State shot 56 percent from the field Monday en route to a stunning 84-68 victory over visiting Kansas, which rose to No. 1 hours earlier.
Pullen, a 6-foot senior who ranks in the top five in 17 career categories for Kansas State, had 23 points in a take-charge first half that propelled the Wildcats (17-9, 5-6 Big 12) to a nine-point halftime lead over the Jayhawks (24-2, 9-2).
Hundreds of fans stormed the court when the buzzer sounded on Kansas State's third victory in its last 45 games against its arch rival.
l SYRACUSE 63, WEST VIRGINIA 52: Brandon Triche had 20 points and Kris Joseph added 16 as the No. 17 Orange (21-6, 8-6 Big East) rallied past the Mountaineers (16-9, 7-6) to snap a three-game home losing streak .
l NORFOLK STATE 76, HOWARD 68: Rob Hampton's 21 points sparked the Spartans (8-16, 6-6 MEAC) past the visiting Bison (5-20, 3-9). Anton Dickerson and Alphonso Leary both scored 17 points for Howard.
U-Conn. routs Oklahoma
Maya Moore scored 27 points to become the Big East's career scoring leader in No. 2 Connecticut's 86-45 rout of No. 14 Oklahoma in Hartford, Conn.
l BAYLOR 67, TEXAS A&M 58: Brittney Griner scored 23 of her 26 points after halftime for the No. 1 Bears (24-1, 11-0 Big 12), including three consecutive baskets late to put host Baylor ahead for good as it survived another close call against the No. 5 Aggies (21-3, 9-2).
l MARIST 72, CANISIUS 60: In Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Erica Allenspach scored 17 points and Corielle Yarde added 12 to help the No. 24 Red Foxes (23-2, 14-0 MAAC) win their 19th straight game with a victory over the Golden Griffins (8-17, 4-10).
l HOWARD 66, NORFOLK STATE 49: Saadia Doyle scored a career-high 38 points and added 10 rebounds as the visiting Bison (11-15, 7-5 MEAC) defeated the Spartans (8-14, 1-11).
l VIRGINIA TECH 68, CLEMSON 56: Shanel Harrison had 18 points to lead the Hokies (11-14, 1-9 ACC) past the host Tigers (10-16, 3-8) for their first conference victory in nearly a year. Virginia Tech's last ACC win came against Clemson last Feb. 25.
