Beckhams Reveal Unique Baby Name

It was an entrance to make her fashionista mother proud. Within hours of Harper Seven's birth, the latest addition to David and Victoria Beckham's clan, was a trending topic on Twitter amid a flurry of speculation over the meaning and origin of her name.
Harper has become an increasingly popular first name in the US in recent years. But the popular theory on Twitter is that the Beckham's inspiration was not its most famous bearer, the author of To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee, but the women's fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar.
However, an anonymous "friend" of the Beckhams has told the US media that Harper is "an old English name that Victoria has always liked".
The Seven is believed to be a reference to David's number when he played for Manchester United and England. He has the number in Roman numerals, VII, on his arm as a tattoo.
But the manner of Beckham's announcement of his daughter's birth suggests it simply refers to the date and time of her arrival and her weight. "She weighed a healthy 7 lbs 10 oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning," her father wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday.
Twitter posters also suggested that her middle name might be a reference to an episode of the cult US sitcom Seinfeld in which neurotic character George Costanza boasts of his idea of an original name for a baby, Seven.
Whatever the inspiration, like her brothers Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, Harper Seven should be prepared to find herself the butt of jokes. The Thick of It star Chris Addison Tweeted: "Other names considered by the Beckhams: Groucher Six, Chicer Five, Zepper Nine and Gummer Twelve."
