Considering that Apple has already released the CDMA Verizon iPhone, it would probably make sense that future iterations of the iPhone would include a version for Big Red. Now a hacker out there has discovered evidence of an upcoming Qualcomm cellular baseband inside the code for Apple’s iTunes software, possibly hinting that the fruity company is planning to incorporate the CDMA giant’s baseband into the next-generation iOS devices. That being said, it’s worth noting that Qualcomm might also be the supplier of the baseband for the Verizon iPhone, which could mean that these references are pointing to the Verizon iPhone instead of the next-generation iPhone or iPad. Still, it’s an interesting discovery and we’re looking out for more hints of future products from Apple.
Very interesting
