Hernia sends hearty partier Charlie Sheen to the hospital

Charlie Sheen reportedly spent a wild night partying with five women — one of whom was a porn star — before being hospitalized with a hiatal hernia yesterday.
The “Two and a Half Men” star was taken from his home by ambulance yesterday morning after someone at the house called 911 to report that the actor was suffering from stomach pains. The sitcom star was transported to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. where, according to TMZ.com, he was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia. The condition causes acid to back up from the stomach into the esophagus and can cause chest pain, heart palpitations and shortness of breath.
Sheen’s father, “West Wing” star Martin Sheen, his mother, Janet Templeton, and ex-wife Denise Richards were reportedly at his side at the hospital
According to TMZ, Sheen fell ill after an all-night bash with at least five women, two of whom were seen exiting his house as he was being taken out by stretcher and loaded into an ambulance. The Web site later identified one of the women at the party as 22-year-old porn star Kacey Jordan.
The Web site said Jordan was “contacted by a third party on behalf of the actor . . . who invited her over to Charlie’s place Tuesday night to party.” When Jordan arrived, there were four other women at Sheen’s house and the actor’s shirt was “stained with wine,” TMZ said.
The trip to the hospital was the latest scandal for Sheen, who police say went on an alcohol-feuled rampage at New York’s Plaza Hotel two months ago. The nonstop stories about the actor’s prodigious partying prompted the head of entertainment for CBS, the network that airs “Two and a Half Men,” to address Sheen’s situation in a recent press conference with TV critics.
“We have a high level of concern. How can we not?” said CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler. “Let me speak personally first . . . This man is a father, he has children, he has a family . . . Charlie is a professional. He comes to work, he does his job extremely well . . . On a personal level, we obviously have concern. On a professional level, he does his job and he does it well. This show is a hit. That’s all I have to say.”
Now in its eighth season, “Two and Half Men” remains the most-watched comedy in prime time, with 14.7 million viewers. Warner Bros. TV already has a deal in place with CBS to deliver another two seasons of the show, and last May, Sheen signed a new, multimillion-dollar pact to stay on the comedy. The show was on hiatus yesterday and Sheen’s illness was not expected to disrupt production.

  1. I don't think he is a professional, if he was he wouldn't act like a moron.
