Veterans Exposed To Agent Orange Get More Help

Washington (SmartAboutHealth) – The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has made a ruling that should go a long way in helping veterans who were exposed to Agent Orange in Korea.
Agent Orange was used during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1970, consisting of a chemical that would help get enemies out of hiding in bushes, trees, etc.
The only problem was that it has been found that exposure to Agent Orange can lead to many health problems and diseases.
Veterans who served in Korea from 1968 through 1971 were the most likely to be exposed to Agent Orange.
A new ruling by the Department of Veterans Affairs hopes to help these people, allowing for them to receive treatment at VA medical centers.
The VA already gives out disability benefits to veterans suffering illnesses linked to the chemical.
These diseases include various heart diseases, Parkinson’s disease, and others.
This new ruling will allow veterans to report claims to help them live their lives following exposure to this hazard to their health
